Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

It's about time I removed my spazzy journal and updated thing around here a bit. Future talk and print talk.

1. I've been MIA for several reasons. No internet and lots of school work. Did you know that a semester might not be enough to plan, script, thumbnail, draw and colour 15-20 comic pages? Yeah, I didn't either. Specially when you're a lazy bum like me.

2. I have apparently been accepted into the Illustration/Animation MA at Kingston University, London. For those of you who might not know, I DO NO LIVE IN THE UK so this is a very big deal. It starts in September and yes, thank you, I have done my fair share of keysmashing about it.

3. I didn't want to announce this before everything was set, but since everything got mailed out last Tuesday, I believe it's safe.

will have a table at the Fanime 2010 Artist's Alley (San Jose CA, 29-31 May). Our three Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 deviations (which ~bluestraggler drew and I coloured) will be available as prints. AND IF THIS WASN'T ENOUGH, she, being the amazing sweetheart she is, offered to put Don't try to please the dragon up for sale AND hand out promo cards so I could get my name out there.

Now this is also a very big deal for me, and I have done my fair share of keysmashing about this too. Being the non-American that I am, I've always wanted to try to participate in some kind of big convention's AA at least once - seeing as I can't for the time being, I believe this is the next best thing and I'm very grateful to her.

So now, even though I won't be able to physically be there, at least a part of me will actually be part of the event and that makes me very, very, very happy.
