Christmas Sketches

Those sketches I promised a while ago. I wanted to have them ready for Christmas! Fortunately, it's still Christmas in some countries, so here you go.

Deviantart is a community filled with countless creative minds, each with stories and ideas of their own. For that reason, I felt I wanted to expand beyond my usual themes and explore some of those concepts layed out and developed by others. It was great dipping my toes in all these different universes through the characters I was given the pleasure to draw. Thanks to all those who requested!

Also, please have in mind that I did these at different times, with different materials and kinds of paper, with different states of mind. So I really hope there isn't any case of "he used ink with that one, I wish he'd done that with mine" or something, but there is, I apologize.

So, without further ado:

- I wanted to show her having fun, because fun princesses are the best. Hope you dig. :]

- That unfinished sketch was my initial pose idea, but I discarded it because it wasn't very interesting. Still, I decided to include it just because.

- I know, I know... Could be sexier.

- I couldn't figure out what his clothes were supposed to be like, so I tried to make the bust as interesting as possible. The red string has got to give me points.

- One thing about me - when given the chance to draw one of two characters with wobbly hair, I'll do both. I liked the way they looked before I drew the clothes in, so I decided to keep it. I hope that's alright.

- Sorry about the hand. e_e

- I hope the skirt is short enough!

- I... can't make up an excuse for such sucky proportions. I'm really sorry. ): I used the dripping heart motif I saw in a couple of your deviations, I hope that's okay.

And I couldn't pass up a few other people...

- I remember staring at your girls' faces a couple of Summers ago, trying to study the way you always make them look so strong and sexy. Even though I've been straying from the 'western comics' style, you've always been a great inspiration to me - plus you always manage to be so nice to everyone. So although I couldn't be part of the 'official' Secret Santa, here's a little Haliya for you, even if is she couldn't do justice to the original one in a million years. /end of fanboy rant

- ...That was supposed to be Raven. Sorry about that. D: Still, merry Christmas! (yes, it's a hint. About your webcomic. Remember that one? I WANNA READ MORE)

- Because you kinda rock AND painted Tarzan. Each time I see something from you in my inbox, I go "whee" inside my head. What else could a watcher ask for? Now go and become rich and famous, plz.

So yeah, I completely failed at conveying your characters' spectacular design. But still - thanks. Never stop amazing all of us. :]
