Okay, so this semester, I had a subject (Introduction to Multimedia would be its English name) where we were to make a project of any kind, as long as it had an interactive component (or something, I'm not really sure ). So we could make a website, an instalation, an interface, a videogame, etc.
Obviously, I grabbed this opportunity by the balls and decided to make a game with my dying will (KHR reference, and I don't even read it >.> ).
And that's how A.E. - After Earth came to be. It's an RPG, where basically everyone turned into a mutant. I don't really care to ellaborate on the plot (what plot?) because it wasn't that interesting.
Why did I choose to make what could be considered anthro characters, you ask? You never make those, dude.
...Please ask. Ok, thanks.
Well, my fellow artist, we had to go from a set theme, which was sustainability and global warming and that kind of stuff. I distorted it to my pleasure and suddenly a crazy scientist of some kind had blew the planet and most of the few survivours turned into beasts. And I got a 19 (out of 20 - basically, an A). Booyah. : D
Anyway, from left to right, Abee, Gabriel, Eva, Ed, Baltazar, Miss X (never really got a decent name. Nobody cares for her anyway.)
There was a lot more to this project - the instructions manual, a plot guideline, a world map, even an RPG Maker demo. And we had to update a website with all our stuff. But this and couple more pieces is all I'm going to put up in my gallery, because yeah.
I've bothered you long enough. If you read this far, you're oficially awesome. :] Oh, and sorry for the crappy textured background. Didn't want to watermark so people wouldn't cut the characters, so this might work. Plus, white background = don't like.
Never thought a bee humanoid could be so sexy! I like the thought that went so carefully into each creature. Props for you for attempting an RPG maker demo! I have the old like 16 bit version and that thing is hard as hell to put together! Yay for an A!!
I dunno, mutants are weird anyway. xD Yeah, the squirrel is actually one third of a character. Together with the two ravens beside it, he's one individual, Ed. Talk about split personality. :3 Thankies!
The designs are awesome <3 I don't play RPG's, but I just might try this one out because the concept is so original in it's trendyness! (After Earth - destruction of the world an it's aftermath... where have we seen that before...? )
The textured bg works, by the way

Well, the actual gameplay consists of about 20, 30 minutes of short dialogues and boring battles. xD But I'm glad I got your interest. So if you really are curious, sure, just lemme know. :3
Yes, I admit to not being the least bit original when it came to the game's name, logo and cover image. I'm just know that one guy staring at me yesterday was a detective on hire by Square-Enix or Universal Pictures, and totally not trying to read my t-shirt. : |
